About Me
Welcome to Whopper Printing
Here’s the story behind the prints, the projects, and the passion.

Who is Whopper Printing?
My name is Matthew, but in the 3D printing world, I’m better known as Whopper Printing. I’m an engineer at heart with a passion for creativity and entrepreneurship. I’m best known for my print-in-place models; unique designs that print in one piece with no support material or assembly required! I focus on pushing the boundaries of what’s possible on a home 3D printer.

How I Started
I've been into "making" and 3D printing in general since the early RepRap days, but I didn't get my own printer until early 2020. When the pandemic started, I used my single printer to make "ear savers" for the local hospital to make wearing masks more comfortable for the hospital staff. From there, I started designing my own models and the very first model I released, a Nintendo Switch game holder, went viral, making the front page of Reddit!
This propelled me into the spotlight and motivated me to start designing even more models, which also gained popularity in the niche, yet growing community.

What I Do
While I work a full-time job, Whopper Printing is my side passion project. I sell the 3D models I design here and on Etsy, share behind-the-scenes on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, and offer free models on MakerWorld and Printables.
I also run a Patreon with great perks for supporters, including exclusive models, commercial licenses, and early access!

LayerLapse
In early 2025, I launched LayerLapse, the world’s first fully air-gapped, brand-agnostic timelapse trigger for 3D printers.
Designed for simplicity and universal compatibility, LayerLapse helps creators capture stunning timelapses, no extra software, extensive wiring or coding required.
